Hours of Operation

Meetings are held in Clubhouse 3, in either room 1 or 2, every Monday and Wednesday mornings, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. during regular college semester dates. 

Committee and Board Meetings are scheduled on an as needed basis by the President.

 

The Leisure World Chorale Club is a group of singers both, women and men who practice under the baton of Director Ms.Rhonda Sandberg. It is sponsored by the Coastline Community College. The LW Chorale presents four concerts in Leisure World to coincide with each season of the year. Each concert is performed with a specific theme. The most recent one being Broadway Musical, scheduled for April 11 at 2 p.m. The LW Chorale also gets invited to perform in the Seal Beach and surrounding communities. For a minimum donation of $150 to cover the travel expense the Chorale provides one hour entertainment to suit the event. 

 

Because of the increasing number of performances in and outside LW, Ms. Anita Ragole, 1st Vice President/Publicity foresaw the need to start a Guild to help with ancillary tasks. This new group also consisting of both women and men who reside in LW help to plan and execute pre and post concert requirements. Their duties involve:

 

(a)    Ushers at the time of the concert

(b)    decorate and set up stage hands

(c)     internal and external liaison for the Chorale,

(d)    refreshment buyers and servers;

(e)    assist with the design and layout of the concert program to conform to the specific theme.

(f)     Other incidentals as may arise.

 

Talented residents interested in getting involved with the Chorale for singing or auxiliary work are encouraged to respond through the web site. The experience promises to open up new avenues that may not be found else where. Step forward and TRY OUT.
